While shopping today, I heard a song being played over the store’s PA system. It was one I hadn’t heard in a long time, and I vaguely remembered it. When I later found it on YouTube and listened to it, I paid attention to the lyrics.

One line caught my attention:

But she`d be a whole lot prettier
If she smiled once in a while

“Lullaby” by Shawn Mullins

While this is a dark song, sometimes a single line will take me in another direction.
