I was listening to a podcast interview with Lance Armstrong. Lance Armstrong: The rise, fall, and redemption of a cycling legend. Near the end, the host asked Lance if he could do it over, would he do it again?

His answer was indeed a piece of wisdom. “These are all strokes on the canvas, man, and I love my life, and I’m super thankful.” Here is a man who is happy with his life.

Life is not always easy. It doesn’t always give us what we want. However, being grateful for what we have is the key to happiness.

P.S. I watched Lance during his Tour de France years. In my mind, he will always be the greatest athlete to ever ride the Tour. I am grateful to him for the excitement, the entertainment, and for my love of the sport. I also thank him for this insight into happiness.
